Using Purchasing Forecast Report

1. When you first enter the Purchasing Forecast Report a Select An Option window will appear:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit the Purchasing Forecast Report and return to the Purchasing menu.
• BY DEPARTMENT – Select BY DEPARTMENT to run the report for one, several, or all departments assigned to items.
• BY ITEM GROUP – Select BY ITEM GROUP to run the report for one, several, or all item groups.

• BY ITEM MASK – Select BY ITEM MASK to run the report based on the item maskA mask is used to conduct a wild card search. Visually a mask is represented by a series of forward slash marks (///), sometimes with a letter, letters, or number(s) preceding it (1/// or AB///). For example, if you enter ////////, this indicates that you want to list all items defined in the system. If you enter in 1//1//1/, this indicates that you want the system to list items that have the digit "1" in those locations..

Make your selection.

2. At the Weeks of Sales History field, specify how many weeks of sales history should be used to calculate the future sales forecast.

3. At the Days Old for Push field, specify how many days old the product should be before it is identified as a "push" item.

4. Command options will appear allowing you to print or choose from a set of other print options.
